Serve & Celebrate 2 NEW ORCHARD GROUP CHURCHES in New York City!
For the past 4 years, Forefront Church has
set aside one day each year to show God’s love to the people
of New York through
Servant Evangelism - a smile, a bottle of water and a card
reminding people
that God loves them. Servant
Evangelism gets the word out to people that there is a new
church in their
neighborhood. It’s a small act
with a large impact that anyone can do!
Last year, Church of the
Incarnation, a brand new church on the upper west side
of Manhattan, joined us
for Love NYC Day. This year, we’ll
be celebrating the 1-year
anniversary of Church of the Incarnation and the 5-year anniversary of Forefront Church!
We invite you to be a part of the growth of new churches in
New York and
celebrate what God has already done! Spend Saturday
serving, spend the night enjoying the city, and join us at
one of our
Sunday services!

Read what others are saying about LOVE NYC DAY!
I hope you can join us for LOVE NYC DAY 2010 on September 18 & 19!
Forefront
Church officially began on September 18, 2005. This is our 5-Year Anniversary! We
began out of a desire to serve one of the greatest and most influential cities
in the world, and to become a community of followers of Jesus who trust God,
love people and serve the world.
Today we have 2 locations with over 400 people who worship with us each
week.
LOVE
NYC DAY has been an 'outreach tradition' for the past five years and has served
as the largest one-day
outreach we do! The simple act of giving someone a gift,
absolutely no strings attached, says something to the typical, skeptical
New
Yorker passing by...we hope it simply says, "God loves you. We love
you."
That's it!
We
also hope that God is working on the hearts of the people we give a small gift
to and that He will draw them to Him - and that we'll be ready if they come our
way on a weekend service!
Your presence and service on September 18th, 2010, will speak volumes not only
to us on our 5-Year Anniversary, but to the millions of New Yorkers who need to
know they're not alone in this city.
I hope you will come and serve alongside us this year!

Please join us on September 18 & 19, 2010!
Church
of
the Incarnation began worshiping together on September 27, 2009 on
Manhattan's Upper West Side. Incarnation is reaching out to long term
New Yorkers who want a community in which they can explore the
Christian
faith as a new way of life. And over our first few months, we have
gathered an interesting mix of people. We are now focusing on
exploring
Scripture together in midweek groups to help our curious group grow in
their
faith. We began meeting on Sunday evenings, but we are moving to a new
location on Sunday mornings to make it a little easier for others to
join us.
Several
people in our community found us because they received a simple card during
last year's LOVE NYC DAY. And we hope that this year's
LOVE NYC DAY will connect more New Yorkers to what we're doing at
Incarnation. Though we work hard to grow our community through our
friendships and social networks, it is vital for us to be able to communicate
with large numbers of people in the neighborhood. LOVE NYC DAY is a great chance for us to do that! We're grateful that so
many churches are willing to lend their time and energy to helping new churches
like ours in the city. We hope you will make plans to join us for a great
weekend - one that can make a real difference for us.

Love NYC Day has been a tremendous experience for our church over the last few years. There are no other outreach activities we do that bear so much immediate fruit for God’s kingdom—both in the lives of New Yorkers who are starved for God’s love and in the lives of our team members who are following Jesus. There is nothing like the thrill of knowing you have introduced someone—even in a very simple way—to the love of God.
Every year we have many of the same people volunteer to give out chewing gum, granola bars and water bottles on the streets of Manahattan with Forefront Church. “Have an excellent day” is almost always returned with “you too!” by people who are receptive to the gift. Of course many are not willing to receive the small token—but they often smile just the same. By the multiplication of many, lots of smiles are generated and about 1,000 people are influenced by each volunteer. Teenagers and adults are equally effective as workers, New Yorkers from every continent of the world are receptive and responsive.
There are few other activities which are as simple, as non-threatening, or as rewarding as Love NYC Day. We do it to reach the hearts of the people of New York. God uses it to reach our hearts!

Love NYC Day is one of the most effective outreach strategies we’ve seen any of our new churches use. Volunteers from churches all over the country reach out to people from all walks of life in Manhattan. Those who have been served come to church, then come to Christ, then become people who serve others.
While the primary goal is to make a difference in the lives of those we help, the experience of working with others to love New Yorkers is personally enriching. We’re looking forward to serving with you this September. You’ll be glad you did!
